Why breathwork. Why this approach.

The premise of Stillpoint is simple: you cannot outsource emotional responsibility. Not to a manager, not to a therapist, not to a technique. Breath gives you a genuine, physiological moment between a trigger and your response. What you do with that moment is yours.

I trained in Conscious Connected Breathwork, learning methods that support progressive states of activation and return. This work has deep roots in breathwork tradition and produces consistent, observable shifts in the nervous system.

I've delivered sessions in corporate environments, community groups, and residential treatment contexts — including a CQC-regulated drug and alcohol treatment centre, where regulation is not an aspiration but a daily necessity. That experience shapes everything I bring to a room.

My story

I found my breath in 2019 and it saved my life. I grew up in circumstances that were far from ordinary, in an environment that shaped me long before I had the words to understand it. I never felt like I fit in. Always a step out of beat.

I was moving through life like a hollow shell. Being in a place without being part of it. I was detached from my body completely — not present in the moment.

In December 2018 my mother informed us of her terminal cancer, and so the long journey of her demise took place, and the start of my journey into what is known as the dark night of the soul. In 2019 I found myself crawling through the doors of First Breath, riddled with anxiety, imposter syndrome, panic attacks.

With a lot of time, consistency, patience and a fuck ton of breathing, I went through years of removing each mask, each identity, each experience that shaped me — and learned to accept myself fully and understand my conditionings, patterns, triggers.

I've been acutely asthmatic since a child. Breathing through my mouth used to put me in hospital. Walking upstairs used to cause an attack. Now I can mouth breathe and even run.

In 2023 I passed my three-year intensive training program — 990 hours of training, plus 108 hours of case studies, plus 26 private one-to-ones, numerous phone sessions, and I am still in consistent supervision with my teacher.

In 2023 I also found my way into the rooms of recovery, where a new level of life took place. My roots are now in solid ground, and my life is taking on the shape of something I never thought possible.

What Stillpoint stands for

At Stillpoint, we focus on honesty and clarity. We share what the evidence supports, and are open about what we are still exploring.

We bring breathwork into professional environments in a way that is practical, embodied, and adaptable. Techniques are only useful if they become something you can use for yourself — not something you are told to follow and then leave behind.
